Birthday Poem

My youngest daughter has "some medical issues" and had surgery last week. Spending 4 nights in the hospital and her coming home in a lower body cast has put a little wrinkle in my scrapbooking plans. But I did do this little project with my 9 year old daughter. She had written a poem for her friend and neighbor's birthday party and wanted to make it into a page print using the StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0. We printed it on 8 1/2 x 11" matte photo paper. It turned out to be quite cute and Evie was thrilled with it! Digital scrapbooking has been a fun activity for us to do together, she really enjoys helping select the artwork.

Scrapbooking is powerful. It shows those we love how important they are to us and why.

The photo used in this project was taken in our treehouse that Evie and Zeirna's dads built together. They live kitty-corner to us and we have a passageway in the fence between our houses that the girls have used to go to each other's houses since they were 3&4 years old. One of their favorite things to do is to get all dressed up and play "olden days" as they were doing the day this photo was taken. She said it brought a tear to her eye and she is going to have it framed. We were very flattered. It felt great to hear that it meant so much to them.
