I'm a stay-at-home mom to three kids, Evie age 9, Adrian age 6 and Ainsley age 3. I LOVE to take photos. In the "olden days" of film cameras I made it a mission to get ALL of my photos into albums. If the photo wasn't good enough for an album into the trash it went. I felt great to be able to pick up an album and share my favorite photos.....Then I got my first digital camera.
Over night everything changed. All of a sudden I was taking far more pictures and they mostly sat unseen on my computer except for an occasional slideshow. I tried creating photo books on Shutterfly and other websites but quickly found that their choices were limiting. I wanted to choose the positioning of the photos and write as much text (journaling) as I chose, in the spot that I chose. It just didn't work for me. That experience eventually that led me to discover digital scrapbooking software. Something I had heard nothing about but was very excited to try.
I made it my mission to find the best software for the job. After doing the research and trying them out I decided I like Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 the best. Although many scrapbook designers use Adobe Photoshop Elements I found when I tried it using their 30 day free trial that it feels like a layout program, I guess that's because it is the little brother of Adobe Photoshop, the software that professional designers use. I found Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 was easier to learn and use was not as limiting as simpler scrapbook programs like Memory Mixer.

It's my mission to take my personal library of 30,000 pictures and create meaningful scrapbook albums in which they can be more easily seen and enjoyed. I hope to inspire others to do the same through this blog, as a CM consultant offering products that make it fun and easy to do as well as doing work as a digital scrapbooker for hire for people who need or want that extra help getting it done.
